john carollo - Owner/Designer/Artist
is an award-winning designer with 17 years of professional experience, having spent 10 of those in the heat of the Orlando area (after moving from the even hotter region of Texas, where he earned a BFA in Communication Design from The University of North Texas). His work has ranged from the usual fare of packaging, logos, web, illustration, collateral, displays, and ads to diverse projects such as costuming, prop, and show design for touring performing organizations. In 1999, John launched Naked Eye Studios, a company dedicated to making communication as distinctive as it is effective, while also providing opportunities for the creation and exhibiting of fine art and general creativity. His design work has won awards and been featured in creative publications and design annuals. Having been trained in abstract watercolor painting in both the U.S. and Europe, John starting showing his work publicly in 2005, and has since received positive press and Best in Show awards at various exhibits and festivals. He was a 2007 recipient of a United Arts of Central Florida Professional Development grant to further the creation of large-scale watercolors.
