November 11, 2007 - Been a long time since any update - it has been THAT busy with design and art. A completely new website will be coming in the next few months! Until then, the Watercolor page has been totally redone for easier use. John will have art in three places this November 15, The Grand Bohemian Gallery, The Gallery at Metro and The Office Gallery & Art Studios. Get ready for his SOLO show at The Office on December 20. It will be featured (with images) in WMFE-TV's The Arts Connection video calendar this Thursday, 11.15.
June 18, 2007 - Think BIG. The premiere of John Carollo's large scale, 6' watercolors, now on display at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center through June 25. Seven additional pieces are also on display. Open 10-5 daily.
June 5, 2007 - TONIGHT, 6-8 PM - Opening reception for The Human Figure - Celebrating the Nude exhibit at the Albin Polasek Museum in Winter Park, FL. John Carollo's work has been selected to be the signature image representing the show, and appears on museum signage and invitations. The museum is located at 633 Osceola Ave., Winter Park, FL 32789. May 15, 2007 - The past few months have been VERY full for Naked Eye Studios. Many interesting design projects and five upcoming art events in May and June, including a piece being displayed in the Albin Polasek Museum in Winter Park, FL. Check out John Carollo's latest art happenings, here.
January 26, 2007 - John is the recepient of a 2007 United Arts of Central Florida Professional Development Grant. The funds will be used to produce large scale watercolor paintings, in the 6-8' range.
January 17, 2007 - Mark February 10 on your calendars...the new downtown Orlando art gallery and studio space, The Office will have it's grand opening show that night. The Office is the new home of Naked Eye Studios and John's work will be on permanent display there.
After his successful 2006 exhibition, John's work will be displayed in the Orlando Stage Gallery at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center again in 2007. The show will run from May 28-June 25, and this year it will be a solo exhibition. Look for something of a large scale to show up....

September 30, 2006 - John painted live at the grand opening of the upscale Scan Design furniture store in Orlando. A large painting usually takes considerably longer than the 2 1/2 hour time limit allowed, but the results were interesting. At the end of the evening his painting was auctioned, with the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity. See photos from the event here.
